-i've been toying with the idea of making a documentary type video on the protests and tonight i was watching a le tigre show i recorded last year and during it kathleen is talking about the whole horizontal oppression thing etc etc, cause of the chainsaw. Now, i think it could be good to splice that, with interviews of protestors. Like make it into a discussion. people having a discussion with her. So when she says ?blah blah blah? then i'll insert an answer from an interview with an policy protestor. And show how what she is talking about applies to transwomen exclusion at mwmf.
Then, i want to film the protest here and show that we are peaceful + the activism
Plus, other random things such as an interview with a band like Kittypryde talking about why they won't/didn?t play the show with the butchies, etc etc. Now the thing is, i think it is important to have transwomen talking about all this in this video since you all are the heart of this. i would transcribe the le tigre performance and email transcriptions to the people who would be interviewing themselves. So you would directly address what she said for that portion. Then we would have other general stuff about transphobia, the policy history, the butchies and the message to young queers.
